About Brianna Starkey, LCSW
Hi, I’m Brianna Starkey, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience working in community mental health, family systems, and outpatient therapy. I earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Monmouth University and have worked extensively with children, teens, adults, couples, and families throughout New Jersey.
My clinical background includes work in intensive community programs, therapeutic foster care, supervision, trauma-informed care, and outpatient psychotherapy. Over the years, I have supported clients facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety disorders, OCD, trauma, depression, parenting stress, relationship difficulties, and life transitions.
My therapeutic style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I believe therapy should not only provide emotional support, but also help clients build effective tools they can use in everyday life. I integrate approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), trauma-focused interventions, mindfulness, somatic-based strategies, and family systems work to help clients better understand themselves and move toward lasting change.
I am certified in Prolonged Exposure Therapy and have additional training in the treatment of anxiety disorders, phobias, OCD, mindfulness, and trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy.
